I posted on craigslist for a digital postal scale and the posting was flagged....

Anyone know why?

To sell one or buy one? I can't think of anything about a postal scale that would violate any craigslist rules, but I'll go double check right now. The only thing that I can think of is that it was listed in the wrong category. Where did you put it? Also, there are lots of jerks on craigslist who flag anything whether appropriately or not. It's possible that happened to you, unfortunately.

Updated: I just checked the prohibited items list. Nothing there even remotely similar to a postal scale.

Maybe the flagging was an accident.   I know I did that one time.    A person can miss when clicking the mouse or not understand what flagging means.

FYI, a postal scale is very different from the tiny electronic scales drug users use.

BTW, the tiny digital scale is considered, in some states, as "drug paraphernalia" and you could go to prison for having one in your car. Unless you have a good reason to have one. Those tiny scales seem to be useless for books anyway.

People flag things for the strangest reasons. Don't take it personally, and just try to post again in a few days.

Postal scales and other digital scales measure in small increments, and can be used by drug dealers. Don't worry about it - it's like having the drug store flag you when you buy cold medicine - unless you consistently buy several flag items, there is no need for them to worry about you.
