I mailed a book out to Reno, NV on 12 DEC via first class and it still hasn't arrived, though media mail is only taking 10 days even with the holidays!

You're lucky. I requested a book from a member in Lakeland and it took 22 days (from the original P.O. scan) to make it to Gainesville, that's 120 miles. I think that I could walk that faster.

Yeah TX is in cahoots with FL for mail messup. Last week i had a pkg coming from TX with DC that said it was delivered on the 16th, but the pkg didn't get to my home mailbox til the 18th!
