Articles copyrights 1931 - 1947. Witty; wise; parodist; incomparable; cure for melancholy; et cetera and so on: the blurb is all true and more so. One of the famously infamous Algonquin Round Table (supposedly named for Chief Algonquin of the NYS Algonquins and his hand-crafted dining table), the author (when he admits it [Introduction by Sidney Namlerep; Preface by Robert Benchley (if you can believe that!]) takes a cut at books, advertising, magazines, movies, columnists, socialites, and himself. A good book for a hot summer quarantine or a cold winter snowbound vacation.
