Toys and togs to stitch for kids...quick-and-easy clothing trims...even family heirlooms to "draw" and "paint" with fabric and thread--here are 37 projects to help you explore and exploit your sewing machine's potential. In the process, you'll discover dozens of imaginative, refreshing, and adventurous ways to use your straight-or zigzag-stitch machine.
Good idea, however it was all geared towards one project with many smaller items for use.
This book has great instructions and ideas for many detailed projects for the sewing machine. The chapters include: Exploring Your Machine's Potential, The ABCs of Applique and Embroidery, Partytime Treats for Children, Building Up Your Cutwork Repertoire, Experimenting with Fanciful Trims, and "Drawing and Painting" on Your Machine. It includes ideas and instrucitons for samplers; hooked rugs (way cool!); fancy stitches for pillows, wall art, chair covers, etc.; kids clothing; kids wall decor; placemats; and instructions/ideas re: decorating w/autographs (fun & a great keepsake!) and artistic drawings and portraits.
A really nice book, full of designs and ideas that I'll never use...
