No, you can NOT post them if they don't meet the site conditions.

However, you can go to the Book Bazaar, say what book you have  AND the condition and ask for a credit for it.

IF someone agrees to this arrangement, you are NOT to post it to them.  They need to send you their address and you mail it to them and they buddy you a credit.  It is an unoffical swap and if something goes wrong, PBS will not have anything to do with it.

Yes, TPTB modified this rule awhile back.  Damaged books may be listed in the Book Bazaar and the sender may request a credit to cover postage.  IIRC there's some qualifiers, such as these books must not be posted FIFO, the condition must be clearly stated and agreed to, etc.  And of course, if not wishlisted you are very unlikely to be offered a credit for damaged/unpostable books.

Sandy, I was in a similar situation last year, with a highly-wishlisted book.  I posted this in the bazaar and it was snatched up with in an hour.  Feel free to copy/edit the text for your own post, if you decide to go this route.

I've received severaled unpostable wishlist books for a credit from the Book Bazaar, and was very happy to get them earlier.  Most have been minor things, just not postable.  I'm glad we're  able to do that.
