I ordered a book. A credit was deducted. The request was passed on to someone else- and another credit was deducted? WTH is going on? From my credit registry, for the same book: 7/7/2008 reason: passed on request -1 7/1/2008 reason: requested a book -1 ETA: This is the second time it's happened. I just discovered have another book requested last May where two credits were removed as well.

If there isn't a +1 credit in there anywhere, you should contact the PBS Team. I think it's designed now to show when you get the credit back after a request is cancelled or passed on to another member. I'm not completely sure about that and can't check my own registry to see because I rarely order a book that has more than one copy in the system. Yeah, I wasn't much help, was I? I don't know why I'm still typing. :-P |

Cindy that makes sense for one transaction as it's still pending. The other one was never fulfilled, so I still have two deductions and only one credit. I PMed TPTB.

I vaguely recall that same thing a long time ago, and did get the credit back, eventually. I also remember thinking, great, what if that was my last credit and my request had to be passed on, does that mean it would not have been passed on because the system thought I was credit poor? Let me know what you find out. I'd be very interested. |

Well, I'm an idiot - the previous request was fulfilled as well. Cindy was correct. Here's what they said: The "Passed on Request" with the -1 should always be followed by a "Request Canceled" with a +1. The system has to pass the request on first, and *then* cancel the earlier request. We know it's confusing, sorry <snipped details of transactions>

I had that happen once, I just copied and pasted what you did, sent it to TPTB, and it got solved quickly. |
