Please read the other forum on free credits. This looks like it might be a person scamming for free credits, look at her wishlist and look at the wishlist of the other person as well as the posts from that person and make up your own mind

It's the same scam artist(s) for sure....or it's two friends working PBS together. People can get several e-mail addresses and come back in on each one. So disappointing... To Our little greedy scammer(s)....Do something good and decent and help someone in need, don't scam people.

This is so very sad, that people would stoop to these levels.  Very disheartening to see such generous members taken advantage of.

Am I lucky.  If I read it before people posted then I would have offered the credits.  I would  have inquired as to when she could buddy me back the credits though.

Shame on you.

and thanks for the posts.  I hope that one person did not give her the credits.

Yep thats good. I gave her a credit too (I was out, and bought a few and luckily they gave it back to me). I don't know why people would do that (well besides being greedy). Its more trouble than its worth. Just put some books up and if you don't have any, than why bother with this site (unless you have money for buying credits)!

Let's hope that someone from this site can get her IP address and block it. Otherwise, she will probably be back for more free books/credits.

Hmmm....maybe I am just not very compassionate but If you don't have credits, don't have money to buy credits, you don't have money to send out books, then you would need to refuse the wishlist offers because you don't have the credits for them now. We have all had to turn down a book we have wanted at one point or another due to lack of funds. Also if I didn't have money to send out books then I would put my account on vacation and start getting the books at the library.

I don't mean to sound harsh but it seems like everybody wants something for nothing these days. Or the thought occured to me that she was asking for credits with this account and then selling them using a spouses or friends account. Which means she is making money from this site.

I just hate it how there are always people out there who end up ruining a good thing.

I was suspicious after I saw that she has only been a member for 3 days, yet she's had 5 WL books come up!  Yeah, right.   I didn't even know what the WL was 3 days after I joined.  Oy!

You shouldn't feel stupid at all, Elaine! You were being incredibly sweet and generous. The poster of the original message should feel stupid for being so awful. 99.9% of the people on this site are honest, so how were you to know?
