The reader experiences the events before and after Christ's death and resurrection through the eyes of a skeptical, disillusioned crime scene investigator who is forced to look at the physical evidence.

Very interesting book. Max has his own personal history that he has to deal with in this book before he can understand why he was chosen to go through this journey. You pick up bits and pieces of what happened to Max throughout the book.

Though Max is a bit annoying in the book with him asking constantly Why me? it ties into the story at the end as to why he kept doing this.

A wonderful book to read, especially for those of faith, and those wanting to know Jesus more.

Once you get into the story, it is (of course) very familiar. The author does a good job though of showing how even someone familiar with modern-day violence would have issues with the violence committed to Jesus.
