Crochet World Christmas in July 1985 issue Author:Crochet World The patterns in this magazine issue are: a camel, teddy bear (Paddington style!), Cabbage Patch doll dress, dragon, party jabot (very old fashioned looking, and pretty), sunshine doily (filet), pincushion doll, doll's wedding dress, dwarf amigurumi (cute for a Santa's elf), bulky sweater for girls, door knob hanger with bells, Santa amigurumi, d... more »rawstring bag and scarf (afghan stitch with cross stitch embroidery), Christmas tree skirt, a couple of wreaths, table set, pineapple peacock doily set (very unusual), racing car amigurumi, candy cane gift container (very quick and easy and is great for gifts of money), baby outfit (looks like a Christmas present, very cute), doll amigurumi (one of the nicest I've seen in a while), granny square Rudolph (kitschy cute), turkey fridgie, tree in a temple wall hanging, merry Chris-mouse pillow (afghan stitch with cross stitch embroidery - very cute), Christmas stockings (easy pattern but look great), angels made out of old nylons, Christmas bed doll (bed doll patterns are rare nowadays), tree ornaments, potholders, troll hat for kids (hideous and creepy - but somebody must have liked it), potholders, Christmas ball, Doll dress, Santa cleanser cover (I love these, they are so totally retro!), throw pillow cover, and a carafe cover. Most of the patterns are easy, with a few being a little more difficult. There is enough variety here to satisfy just about everyone, from the traditionalist to the more free spirit. There is a good split between patterns that use worsted weight yarn and those that use thread so anyone should be able to find something that they enjoy making. The toys and amigurumi are particularly well done.« less
