Are these a popular item? I posted a couple last night, some with ISBNs and some without. I wasn't sure what category to assign to the ones I posted without an ISBN so that they would be most visible.... I'll take any insight. (Just discovered the neighborhood library sells great used books for cheap. I'm in TROUBLE!!) |

Well, in my experience, craft books swap well, but I haven't tried swapping cross-stitch, so I don't know for sure. Good luck to you, though. |

All the craft books I have ever posted have gone very quickly. I fyou do a search for that subject and don't see many books posted ... that would be a good indicator that yours will go fast as well. |

You do have to be careful when posting pattern books. Some of them fall under the definition of a leaflet and are not allowed:

If they have an ISBN, you can post them -- be sure the # of pages is listed if they have 50 or fewer pages. They're pretty popular, from what I hear. If items don't have an ISBN, they have to have over 50 pages to be posted. -- Except for children's books -- they're expected to have fewer than 50 pages. |

Yes, they are snatched up pretty quickly. I look for them at FOL sales and such just to put on here. |

As long as it's got an ISBN, and the description lists the number of pages correctly so that people know what they're getting, you should be fine. You can't post leaflets or booklet without an ISBN though. http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=203296 **A leaflet/pamphlet is an item with fewer than 20 pages; a booklet is an item with between 20 and 50 pages that is not a children's book. Children's books often have less than 50 pages and are not considered booklets just because of their short pagelength. (Hold your cursor over the "Leaflet" link in the rule and it talks about allowable posting of booklets and leaflets with ISBN's.) |

I will check out the definition of a leaflet. They are not just patterns--they're actual collecitons of patterns so I hope it will qualify. But I hadn't considered the leaflet thing. Thanks! |
