This appears to be a thriller, but it's actually a combination of thriller and science fiction, in a way that quickly felt too weird to me. Did not want to continue reading, unfortunately, even though the story got off to a good start.
Weirdo, wacked out groaner - NOT an adventure or spy thriller as cover and back blurb purport it to be. Not interesting on any level. I'd get my money back if I could.
I'd go into the plot details (so far as I read) and the premise of the thing, except people have ably covered them in amazon reviews and I see no reason why I or you should suffer it here. Avaunt. I can recommend this book only for those curious about how awful a novel can be.
Oddly enough, this author does write well when he describes combat and war. I wish he'd stuck to that.
