Great book with a romantic undertone. I loved this book and have tried everything but bribery to get others to read.

The gleaming object I held cupped in my hand was a strange find. It was a ball, a small globe of crystal. Within it was a tiny image - the image of a gryphon, the beast that was my own House symbol...I held it in the palm of my hand that I might study the gryphon closely. Now I could see that there were small flecks of crimson in the head to match the eyes. And those flecks sparkled, almost as if they had a life of their own. A witch World novel that tells the story of Kerovan, half-human, half-something else, who sought his rightful heritage to the throne of Ulm at a time when strange sea invaders were shattering the old kingdoms and equally enigmatic manifestations of the Old Ones were coming again to interfere with humanity.
