I'm curious to know if any member here has one of these, or has used one of these. I owned/operated a used book store for 5 years, and want to know if this device could be used in place of typing in 5 - 10,000 ISBNs into PBS. |

As Leslie says.... I did a Forum search on "ISBN scanner" and found lots of mentions, including some specific topics on the Cue Cat (various spellings). Sounds interesting. |

I use one on this site, and it works just fine. But it does not store ISBN's like my other scanner (for my collectorz program). It just scans. |

We have 2 and DH says it works so seldom for him, that it's easier to type in the ISBNs. I use it and it works more than adequately for me. Difference in how we hold it? I don't know, but he just never has good luck using it, so doesn't. I didn't think about it until just now, maybe I should have switched with him, maybe me cat actually works better than his? Btw, I then use the Bookmark upload link for uploading books, 50 at a time, first to my Reminder list to see if there are hundreds already posted, then I reupload the list that I want to my shelf. I also scan the ISBNs into another program first, and then export the ISBNs to be posted, rather than scanning them directly into the PBS posting page. |
