This was a great background book. If you liked the Movie episode Razor, this does a great job for setting up the backstory for the Cylons background that leads to the end of that episode. You learn a great deal about Tom Zarek and a young Adama. A quick and great read for fans of the new series!

I'm not a fan of the show, but my husband is, and he truly enjoyed this story. He read it in only a day, which is a near-record! He said it doesn't exactly follow the show, but it was a good, quick read that fans should really like.

Although the 2 folks before me gave this book an average rating of 4, I'd have to go with 2. I normally like a good science fiction novel, especially Anne McCaffrey or any of the Star Trek books, but this one left me cold. It could be because I was never much of a Galactica watcher back in the day, or it could be because I'm not a fan of shooting and fighting scenes. The character motivation was limited. I would not recommend this audio CD.
