My book was delivered & confirmed by DC on 2/24. I still have not received credit for it. I think the Receiver was a  newbie from back in Nov. Listed her 10 books, sent out 4 and hasn't been back. This book was a WL book. I think she ordered it with Auto-request so it finally got sent to her. I don't know if she doesn't remember to come back & log the book as received.  Or since I bought my DC through PayPal instead of PBS, whether she doesn't know that she has to manually log the book in.

Should I email her a gentle reminder to mark the book received? I'm also wondering if, as she received the HC book without a dust jacket, if she thinks she has a problem with the book, even though it is within acceptable PBS book conditions. If she is a newbie, she might not have read all the rules about what's acceptable.

How long do I wait for the book credit?

I think you should definitely PM the person.  If she doesn't respond, that would tell you she might be inactive.  Or you might remind her and she will say Oh sorry, and mark it received.

ETA: this from Help Center:

"If you sent the book with Delivery Confirmation and it has been recorded as delivered by USPS but hasn't been marked received yet:

  • Remember that the book could have been scanned as "delivered" at the local PO, before it went to the requestor's mailbox--the actual delivery can be a few days later  Also, the book could have been misdelivered.
    • The requestor should check with her mail carrier about this package.
    • The package could also be at her local PO being held for pickup; sometimes pickup notices left by the mail carrier go astray.
  • You should FIRST contact the requestor using the [PM] button on the transaction on the Books I've Mailed tab in My Account when a few days have passed after delivery.
  • If the requestor does not respond to your PM within a few days, and/or has not marked the book received by a week after the delivery scan, contact us.  We will look into it.
  • If you used DC purchased through PBS, or PBS Printed postage, you will already have gotten your credit for sending the book."
