i posted a book using the PBS DC the other day. it went from my home in central OR to NV on the map, even though i mailed it late on saturday night and the PO was closed sunday and monday. i realize that the map is just an approximation (is kind of fun to follow), but when i looked at it today, my book is now in seattle! so i think of course that it never went to nevada; why would the map show a route that was not really happening? LOL! Yeah, I show that a book is almost sitting on my doorstep, and it didn't even get mailed! (I got my credit back, instead.) Good old technology. Don't confuse it with the facts. |

The map is just for fun. The only way to know where a book is is to click on the details button. If and when a book is scanned you'll see it in the details. |

You can also check the USPS website to track the book by DC. Is it possible that Seattle is the hub for your area? I live in Milwaukee but a lot of my packages sent via USPS go through a Chicago suburb before getting on their way to new homes. |

yes, i am sure that seattle is a hub for mail in the area, even though it is in another state. i just thought it was amusing that the map showed that it was in nevada and then in seattle when in fact, it was in oregon the whole time before it went to seattle. wonder where it will be today? :-) |

i love it when the little truck path doesn't make a direct path from san francisco to the destination!! it's fun to watch, but yes, it's not totally accurate. |
