Since this is the month for giving, perhaps we can dig a little deeper and help out some our friends in need in PBS.  Now is the time to post all those things we meant to post but never got around to doing.  We might be able to help stuff some stockings!

For our purposes, a Random Act of Kindness (to be referred to as a RAOK) is defined as something nice one PBS member does for another PBS member with NO CREDITS changing hands!  The  idea  is for people to post items they are willing to send another member FREE of charge or credits (including shipping). This is a great way to make someone's day at the same time that you can declutter your house of things you no longer need/use but weren't  sure you wanted to discard.  NOTE:  Some of us don't remember every member's nickname, so it is helpful to write that by your address label, when you send a RAOK, to make it easier for receiving members to thank you.

The  way to do this,  is to list items to this thread that you are willing to send as RAOKs the way we list damaged books/ARCs/etc. in the Book Bazaar, and make them first come, first serve. When an item has been spoken for, please cross it off or delete it from your post. You might want to show who got it but that's up to you. Just  make sure you update as frequently as possible so that no one is disappointed. Please everyone just use one post each and keep it updated.     NOTE:  Before posting a ROAK, you might want to check this month's *** I Wish thread to see if you are able to fill a members' Wish, first.  This is especially true for Coke codes, boxtops for education, etc.

If you see something you'd like,  PM the member with your address.  To post things you are wishing for, see the *** Monthly I WIsh thread.***  And to keep these threads clean and easy to read, please use the ***Monthly Thank you thread*** to thank people for things you have received.  Always let the members know, either in a PM or Thank You that you rec'd the item so they know it's not lost.

Obviously since RAOKs are free but cost the sender shipping, if you request a RAOK from someone and they aren't able to ship it for a while, please be patient!  Please mark out items as they are taken so other members are not disappointed.

* Also, I like TEA swapping. I like Black Flavored tea mostly, but I'm open to different kinds. (Very picky), if you got some... I'm offering tea too, different brands. (I know there's a tea club out there, just got no time to join now, I will some day.

1. I have a promotional Small Megamind activity booklet for kids, it has a coloring page, anagram brainteaser, pictogram teaser, cryptogram, homonym challenge, connect the dots, word search, find the difference and maze. Very nice booklet.

2.  Tazo Green Ginger Tea, no box, just 18 packets I think. This is the tea ----> http://www.cw-usa.com/beverage-tea-tazo-green-ginger.html

(1) Book "Questions Young People Ask Answers That Work  Volume 2"

On the back it says This book will help you answer questions about: The opposite sex, life changes, friendship issues, school and your peers, money matters, your parents, your feelings, recreation, your spiritual growth

It's written by the Jehovah's witness governing board but every question that they answer has a biblical reference. It quotes the scripture and lists where you can find it in the bible. Was given to my DH when he was working with a family of that faith and he closed the case with them this spring so he doesn't need it now. Our kids are too young for it to be helpful so if anyone can use it let me know. :)

TAKEN

Blue Ray Disc:  Barbie-A Mermaid Tale

I have what appears to be a brand new Blue Ray disc of Barbie - A Mermaid Tale, with packaging, that has the option of English or Cantonese language.  I bought it on ebay on a listing that said it was a DVD, and I do not have a Blue Ray player.  BUT, I can't offer guarantees about it.  It did not come in its packaging, but with the packaging folded up neatly.  The disc and packaging are in English, but Chinese appears on there, too, and I can't read Chinese.  Also, of course, I can't test the disc to make sure it works.  Ebay refunded my money and told me to keep the disc, so I'd just like to pass it on to someone who can use it.

Finding My Voice  by Marie G. Lee

Library paperback discard, unpostable because the pages are beginning to discolor from age. Published in 1992.

The story of a second generation immigrant Asian teen girl in her last year of high school in the USA. It is ranked as for ages 9 - 12, but it contains drinking and rug-doing (The teen doesn't like that and avoids it), and searching for her own identity.
