I read the following books in high school:

  • A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
  • To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  • The Time Machine by H.G. Wells

These may be on a student's summer reading list or his/her upcoming English class reading list?  If anyone wants The Time Machine, I'll throw it in free with an order from my bookshelf since it's a thin book.  Just PM me!

I've also got James Herriot books - I'd consider them "British classics".  They're good reading!
