Nope...DVDs count as media and therefore can be mailed as media mail.  If they are blank, then it is a no.

Of course the handy zip case is NOT media mail.

the zip case isn't media mail but you can add the appropriate first class postage on top of the media mail (however much it weighs without the dvds in it).  The postal worker would be the best person to help with that to make sure it is figured correctly. 

example - if you included a greeting card, you would add $0.42 which is the cost for mailing first class envelopes

That is so true Leslie and most people don't know about it.   I had sorta forgotten that myself.
