I have a question about books that would be considered "unpostable" according to PBS good condition guidelines. Can you only post them in this form http://www.paperbackswap.com/Post-Damaged-Books-Here/topic/2441/? I noticed that in the forum you cannot ask for a member to order from your shelf in order to received a free  damaged book. I have seen a few posts in the Book Bazaar where members list their "unpostables" and offer to send an one with an order on their shelf. Is this allowed by PBS?

I wanted to offer "unpostables" to members who order from my shelf...just so that I could save on postage. I am not requiring members to order from my shelf in order to get a damaged book....I just want to offer the "unpostables" to those who want to order a book from my shelf. Like I said, I just want to save on postage :)

If this is against the rules....just let me know :)

You can offer them in your signature line, like mine are. You can make a bookshelf header and note them there. You can make a post in the Book Bazaar and offer them in it. All of these are allowed.

You are also allowed to ask for a credit for your unpostable books, if you want to, but it is not likely to be successful unless the books are also Wish Listed.

The most common ways to offer them are free with an order from your shelf, or in the case of WL unpostable books, for a credit (but they can't be posted). I've also had people who just wanted unpostable books only, offer a credit to me for several of them.

If you have more than a few of them you could check out the Damaged Books Virtual Box in the games forum.  We trade unpostable books with eachother.

That thread you've linked is only for offering totally FREE unpostables. If you want a credit or an order to get the free unpostable book, then you can't use that specific thread. You can always start your own Book Bazaar thread as long as it follow the rules of the BB and if it is WLed I think there is a damaged WL thread somewhere in there that you could post to.
