Hey guys! I just wanted to say that if you have a Wii game system, "Just Dance" is an amazing game to get if it's weight you are wanting to take off. The game requires nothing but the disc itself and a Wii-mote. (Wii remote). You just hold the Wii-mote in your right hand and follow the movements on screen. It can be done with just doing arms (TRUST ME... your arms will hurt the first couple days or week lol), but for the best results, you would want to do the feet and body movements too. The game is $39.95 at Wal-Mart and I'm sure several other places. Hope this helps anyone who is looking for an entertaining and fun way to lose weight. =)

I saw it as something similar to Dance, Dance Revolutions, but it's so much better. As an owner of 3 different DDR games, I think "Just Dance" is a lot more effective because you're not just standing there chasing arrows... you're moving your arms and body too. Anyway, enjoy, and I hope this helps. :)

So does the game system come with the wii-mote or is it purchased separately?  Two of my neighbors have lost over 25 pounds using wii fit.  Kind of makes me think I should be looking into it.  How much should I expect to spend all together?  Is it something I could do with my kids or is it one person at a time?

I love Just Dance!  I picked my copy up at Game Stop for $30.  They had it cheaper then Target.

Scott, when you purchase a wii it will come with one wiimote.  Sometimes you can get bundles where you are able to get 2.  The wii fit (balance board) is sold seprately and is around $80-100 bucks.  When the wii fit plus came out - the old wii fits dropped in price - balance board is the same but they added a few more games to the "game".  I'd check Sam's Club or Costco - for a lower price.

Also, Walk It Out is another fun "excersize" type game for the wii.

Hehehehe I played this with my ten year old and boy did I sweat!! I don;t think the remote does a good job of tracking your dance movements but it's still fun to play! We also have the Walk it Out game but I have yet to try it! My husband swears by Wii fit for losing weight!

How much time per session are you on your Wii? How long before you saw results? I have a Wii and Wii Fit Plus.

i ordered both Just Dance and Walk it out.

Just Dance is more complicated. since it has both foot movements and hand/arm movements.

I have used Walk it out more because it focuses on one thing.. walking at different paces.  Somewhere around here I have some weighted wrist bands that I am going to add to get some more out of the exercise.

All my Wii games have been cheaper at Best Buy than Walmart!  Couldn't believe it!

When I got "Just Dance" for my birthday, my kids insisted we play it at my party. One of the guests weighs over 300 lbs and she played without even standing up, just sat on the sofa and moved her wrist holding the Wii remote--Boy was I mad when she scored better than I did going all out with my best dance moves!

Most Wii systems come with 1 remote. I have 2 and plan on getting 2 more in future. My sis told me to go ahead and get the remote charger that holds 4 remotes, better deal.  Also, if your kids do Wii play dates like my 14 year old does, you can ask them to bring their own remote over if you only have one or two !

We just bought this over the weekend and my 4 yo and I were doing it this afternoon. It's fun and yes, my arms are sore! I'm really trying to get moving more and this looks like just the thing!  So far, so fun!
