A refreshing new for me author. A trite story line which is helped by NASCAR background--a female FBI agent is sent to protect a Team owner. She has history with him, however. Lots of twists and turns of plots which are funny and tearful. Good book.
This book has been sitting in my room for months before I decided to read it. I didn't expect it to be so good but it was. It kept me turning the pages. Good read!
Love the book, enjoyed the twist at the end
This is the first book in Pamela Britton's NASCAR series, centering around a team owner and an old flame. A wonderful beginning to a great series. I have learned a lot about racing from this series.

Undercover FBI agent Cece Blackwell is not too thrilled to be pulled off an investigation so that she can work with the object of her high school obsession. Blain, a former champion NASCAR driver is now a team owner and his driver was killed in a suspicious crash which might have been intentional since someone sent an anonymous letter announcing they killed his driver and NASCAR officials refuse to acknowledge that it's anything more than a hoax. All he remembers of Cece is that she was a scrappy tomboy that liked to beat him in races with her souped up Camaro. He's not ready for the grown up Cece he meets.
As the two investigate allegations into Randy Newell's death, they have to fight their attraction to each other, one that could put Cece in danger of losing her job and her life. If they don't find out who's behind the violence, Blain could face financial ruin and ejection from a sport which has become his life. But is he prepared for the risks associated with loving a cop?
Britton's introductory NASCAR novel is an awesome and sizzling read. Britton's knowledge of the ins and outs of a pit crew keep the reader entertained to the exciting sport. And just when you thought it was going to end, Britton adds another 50 pages to further develop Blain and Cece's relationship, making for a satisfying read.

Great Book!!
This book took me into the world of NASCAR, mixing intrigue and romance and emotional upheavals. Special Agent CeCe Blackwell must face the man who as a teen broke her heart in her teens. She's grown up a lot, strove to get where she is and doesn't want to give in to the unrequited feelings bubbling to the surface again. After all, she's only there to do a job. This book was just sogreat a read I've read it four times. It delivers deep and heart-tugging emotions. Anyone who loves NASCAR and enjoys reading romance will enjoy this book.

Ms. Britton writes like you are right there in the middle of the action. She makes you want to keep reading till you are done with the book.
