God, I could not stand these characters! Thank goodness they were only characters in a book, because I would have been tempted to bitch-slap the both of them. The 17-year-old ingenue was a selfish, self-centered, whiney, immature child. The 36-year-old Earl was an arrogant, selfish idiot. What is he doing with a 17 year-old, anyway? He seduces her, and yes, the sex scenes are hot. They love each other, they don't, they do, they dont.
Make up your mind, already! All ends well, but in the back of my mind, reality tells me it won't be happily ever after.

I enjoy reading Julia Templeton books. My only complaint is that they go by too fast. Dangerous Desires was a quick read. Yes, it was an erotic historical romance, yes, there was a huge age difference between the characters (she was 17, he was 33 - but of course that was the order of the time period), and yes, the sex scenes were hot! I found it more than that. It really was a great love story between these two characters who were trying to figure out themselves and their lives. I disagree with another reviewer who said that the characters were whiny and annoying. I found them likeable, intriguing, and the story itself captivated me. I recommend this book as well as other Julia Templeton books.

This book was a very heartwarming story, and erotic and tender at the same time .....The sex scenes were hot, as I felt the author built up the sexual tension between the two characters perfectly.... left me wanting more of their story when it was done!

I loved this book. Although Arlie is 17 and Dom is 33, Arlie seemed to be more mature than her 17 years. She looses her father and ends up with Dom who she met once when she was a little kid and remembers him as her black prince. Dom is not used to having anyone at his house so having a 17 year old that he lusts after is no easy task.
I was expecting a lot of sex since it's from Ellora's Cave but I was pleasantly suprised. I think Dom is hot and the sexual tension between them on certain occassions makes this book anything but boring.

Same story of the guardian falling for his charge. But the cruelty she goes threw, I'll pass . Very disappointed in this book, a big let down from her other work
