I can't say enough about John Shannon's Jack Liffey books. In each one, he hits a different area of underbelly in Los Angeles and we get to learn about a new subject or ethnic group. This missing child is an American Indian girl who hopes to find her future in the porn industry. The child happens to be the neice of Liffey's girlfriend, Gloria Ramirez. Liffey is not your usual hero, when he gets hurt, he stays hurting, but continues on. Extra added attraction is his relationship with his daughter Maueve. Read them all!

This was a terrible book--the characters are not in least interesting, the story is very slow and unless you know some spanish or gang talk then it will be hard to understand, lots of spanish words along with gang talk and story about porn, just wasn't interesting
