I've never read any of her books. I think I tried reading one when I was a teen but never got into it. I picked up one from the library last night. She was on a talk show last week and I thought, I need to try to read one of her books. The one I picked is called Sisters. Sounded interesting - I love books about sisters b/c I don't have any and I have 2 daughters. Anyway, so far so good. I like how she is building the characters first chapter by chapter - the flap didn't have much of a way of pinpointing what was going to happen but I read some other reviews and now I pretty much know what to expect. I'm still reading though! Just thought I'd ask if there were any fans and if there were any  suggestions of her must reads as she has written a ton of books! LOL

TIA!

I got burned out on her stuff...seemed like the first half of the book covered maybe 1 year then the last half covered 50 yrs..I did like some of them though like Thurston House, Family Album, Kaleidscope ws sad but good..Jewels was one of those that dragged forever then zipped along. And seems like the 'badness' skips ageneration t hen shows up again. A coworker likes Klone  or Klone and I..she says she's re-read it several times. I was also liking 'the ranch' but hated the ending for one of the characters...

I have read several of her books and liked them a lot but can't call myself a fan. I thought Fine Things was excellent but it did take about 100 pages to get into it. The Secret was a fairly quick moving book. I also really liked Malice. The subject matter is touchy though

I loved her earlier stuff... Kalidesope, Jewels, Zoya, Messages From Nam (my personal favorite), No Greater Love.  Those were the ones that I still have and read when I need a break from everything else I'm reading.  FIne Thinks was ok, but I prefered the movie version over the book.  Family Album was a good one too.  So was Once In a Lifetime.

Thanks everyone! I just realized I spelled her last name wrong, Oops. I finished reading Sisters in 3 days which is HUGE when I have 2 little ones running around. I just read at every spare chance b/c it was such a fast paced easy read. My hubby picked up HRH at the library for me. I have no idea what to expect. It's nice though that she doesn't have series. I tend to forget books ina  series and them I'm lost! LOL Messages from Nam sounds very interesting.

Oh and thanks Pamela, I will be cking out your deals!
