Nope.
This book didn't work on several levels.
First, the main plot and mystery of the book was boring. Anne Mallory spent enough time dwelling on the development of the plot, rather than the characters or relationship, that the book was bogged down. Further the mystery wasn't terribly interesting and in the end, as far as I could tell, was never completely resolved. Quite frustrating.
Second, the romance never took off for me. The characters should have been interesting, but they weren't. The exposition wasn't romantic and they never connected.
Finally, the sensuality in this book was lacking, almost nonexistent, and was thoroughly disappointing.
Anne Mallory has been hit or miss for me, this book is a definite miss.
