It took me a long time to read this book, it was so brutal I could only take small sections at a time. But I am really glad I got through it. I was unable to sympathize with the Americans on their push westward into the Ohio Valley because I know how it ends...but the violence was astounding on both sides, so little regard for life. Very well written, including letters that exemplified the positions of the military. Names, dates, places, the research is impeccable.
