I originally got this book because my favorite musician wrote a song inspired by it. I thought I'd read it, be marginally entertained, and then feel a little closer to the aforementioned musician.

Holy cow. I loved the book. I adored the descriptions, the way the author pulled you into the way the main character was feeling... This has easily become one of my Top Ten.
