I really liked this look at Darth Vader. It is easily my favorite of the Star Wars Novels.

Continues the tale of the birth of Sith Lord Darth Vader. Not Lucerno's best, but does a good job of getting behind the mask.

The untold story between "Padme.. nooooooooo" and "You have failed me for the last time."

How did that whiny, angry boy turn into the self-possessed, angry helmeted beast we all have known and loved to hate for 20+ years? And what happened to the last few stray Jedi wandering around after Order 66? What did Obi Wan do all those years on Tattooine?

If you love the movies but haven't really gotten into the Star Wars novels, this would be a great place to start.

I though this book was good portrait of what Anakin/Vader became after Episode III. I wish there would have been more Vader and less of the others. It was still a good read. A bit slow at parts, but picked up towards the end.
