I am glad I decided to read this one. I hated the last few Carpathian novels and was on the verge of giving up on Feehan for good, but this one restores my faith in her writing.
I absolutely love Fen and Tatijana. Despite all the serious stuff going on, they managed to be a fun and playful couple. Tatijana has just the right amount of haughtiness but she gives respects where it's due. Plus they are both very smart characters and didn't engage in dumb heroic behavior.
You get a lot of cameos from past characters so if this is your first Feehan book, you might be a little lost and overwhelmed.
The book does lead to Skyler and Dimitri's story which I have been waiting since the two characters were introduced many years ago. Looking forward to read Dark Wolf.
