From Amazon:
This is an older Harlequin, and I found it to be a very well written story with very believable and likeable main characters.
Regan Allison is a recent college graduate who plans to teach special education. She moves into a cabin left to her by her late parents in the small town of Bowie's Landing. There she meets Casey McKeever, a wealthy corporate attorney who works in Houston but has a home near her cabin. Casey uses crutches as a result of polio when he was a child. He has come to terms with his disability, or so he believes. This story centers around Casey's handicap, and his need to be accepted for his abilities rather than disabilities. Though very accomplished, he still harbors some doubts about himself, and this leads to difficulty between Casey and Regan as they fall in love. She sometimes offers too much help which he views as pity.

The best thing about this book is the wonderful characterization, particularly that of Casey. His character seems very real, as he possesses both strength and vulnerability, humor and impatience.

The author has also written under the name of Marcy Gray (listed in Amazon as Nancy Gray). Regrettably, it seems she is no longer writing. I highly recommend this book.
