hi everybody. I just finished gena showalters' darkest craving book. I really liked it but I had a question. This might be considered a spoiler-but since when did William have kids? that are fully grown with really stupid names? and is anyone else starting to get annoyed with basically every heroine in her underworld series being sassy/sarcastic?

So funny you should bring this up. I read the book this week and had exactly the same questions! Now that I'm looking, I think I might have purchased, but never read #13 Darkest Seduction. (How did that happen??)  Either that or I've totally forgotten that one. So maybe some clue in that book?

YES - I, too, am getting really tired of the over-the-top, snarky female characters.

List of books, in case it adds to the discussion.

  2. The Darkest Night, May 2008—Maddox (Keeper of Violence)
  3. The Darkest Kiss, June 2008—Lucien (Keeper of Death)

  5. The Darkest Prison, July 2009 novella ebook—Atlas (Titan God of Strength)

hey Jo! Yes I think her heroines can be funny at time. But it gets excessive. I think there was once scene in Darkest Craving where several heroines from past books were all together talking to Tinker Bell and they all sounded alike-snarky, over-the top, random jokes etc. Thanks for the list with all the main characters, I've read them all but I sometimes forget which book was which character. I also sent you a friend request since you like showalter =)
