" Darkest Days" in a bit unusual in that the vice president is manipulated into a scheme to turn the US into a dictatorship.

At first, I thought "this is just ridiculous" but as I read it became more plausible.

The characters are mostly believable and the conspiracies are well thought out. The action is credible and exciting.

Worth the time to read it.
