I bought a box of books on craigslist, and 3 of them are "Novels of the Darkyn".  I think they're vampires.  I looked them up on Amazon and the three I have are the most recent, i guess it's a series with a lot of books.

Anyone reading these?  Is it worth reading the earliest one or will I be completely lost?  Trying to decide whether to post them or put them in my TBR pile first.

Should be read in order.

1)  If Angels Burn    2)  Private Demon    3)  Dark Need   4)  Night Lost   5)  Evermore   6)  Twilight Fall   7)  Stay the Night

I have only read the first 3 and liked the first 1.  I loved the characters in the first book and couldn't really get into the rest of them, tho I tried a couple more.  You learn about Darkyn in earlier books and how and what they are.  Hope you enjoy them.

I have never thought of buying books on Craig's List!!!  What a neat idea----------Thanks for sharing it!

Yeah, I'll probably just post them.

Most of the books deals on craigslist haven't been much to write home about, but this woman had 100 books for $30, and only 3 of them are unpostable.  I totally scored!

I totally love the Darkyn books.  They are very different, but I decided to continue on with the series, and am glad I did.  I find the whole situation interesting, and I like the characters.

I'm on the third book and like the series so far. I'd at least check one out.

MM I TRIED to get into these. i really did but the one I read (forget which now) had at LEAST 4 different viewpoints all jammed up into one slim book. I was losing ym mind trying to keep everyone and their motivations straight; the leading lady, the leading man, the villian, and the leading lady and man from one of the other books! OH WAIT! AND a priest thrown in there too! I was like WHOA.

A little too much for me but some people really seme to like them. Maybe give one a try.

I really enjoyed this series.  It keeps getting better with each book.  It really helps if you read from the beginning.

Honestly this is one of the better series i have been reading.  Give it a try.

Yeah they are great.....not heavy on romance but as long as you are not looking for a real paranormal romance story, then this series may suit you. I have read the first 4 and have the next two here waiting. I'm either going to read them next, or the next few of Kresley Cole's paranormal series.  Or some Lora Leigh breeds books.  Or....sigh....so many good ones TBR!

I read the first and  couldn't stand it, especially the heroine. She hates the hero until like the last 15 pages. They never got any better for me.

I like the men....their enemies are pretty scary, too.... the heroine is annoying but I still found the plot pretty interesting.  And I love the men in the series.

I really loved these books...i like that there are other stories going on that continue in each book. at first i found that annoying but after i read the 2nd one ..I found i needed to find out what happens to each of them so I continued and they just got better..I cant wait for the final one to some out ( january) so i can see if my theories are correct! LOL

The men are great.....lucan and gabriel so far are my favorites...micheal is at times....

I love the Darkyn series.  I did like the first books best, but I have read them all and will continue to do so.  They are very good paranormal romance books, just hot and steamy enough, and certainly dark enough for my tastes.  I would certainly reccomend you give them a shot!

The only complaint I have after reading the first 2 books was that they don't fall into my HEA mindframe. I think out of the 2 I read I liked the second book better. I agree that the heroine in the first is annoying and I still can't figure out why the are "in love".
