The book follows the typical Leigh Michaels formula where the guy likes the girl but has to come up with some elaborate hoax to get her attention. What makes her books enjoyable to me is the humor and romance. I like romance, not sex, and in her books you see two people coming to know and care about each other so when they finally get together in the end, you know the future will be happily ever after.
Rachel has friends and family trying to "set her up". Crash has family who think that are his "dating service". Rachel and Crash decide to "date" each other to avoid having to date. A crazy plan but a fun storyline for a novel.
From the back cover:
IRRESISTIBLE TO MATCHMAKERS
Rachel's boss has a nephew she thinks would be "perfect" for her. Her best friend's fiancee just "happens" to have a brother. Complete strangers are getting in on the act. Young, beautiful, single-and happy to stay that way-Rachel Todd is the matchmaker's ultimate challenge.
"Crash" McKenna's family seems to think they're a dating service with on ly one client. Him. And what with Thanksgiving approaching, they'll be around in force, avid to practice their matchmaking skills on the last remaining unwed McKenna.
Rachel comes up with a simple plan to solve their mutual problem. She and "Crash" will dat4e to avoid dating. HE knows this plan isn't just simple, it's crazy! So why is he going along with it?
prior to this book i havent't read any of the harlequin romance series. I loved this book so much and have read it several times. can never read it without crying at the end of the book
My mother-in-law gave me 2 huge boxes of romance novels. I sat down and read them all this past winter. A good one.
