From the author of "Rulers of Darkness" comes the story of a young intern who lives a secret life as a vampire. Her father breaks free from a stone tomb and leaves a dead body on the steps of her home--a call to Jenn to leave her life among the mortals and plunge into the passion and power of her eternally hungry soul. "A rare example of a sequel as memorable as its predecessor"

How would vampires fit into a modern, mundane, practical world? Very well written and well reasoned, to the point where it is easy to believe it's all possible. A woman trying to live her life ignoring her...handicap...has been forced to use what she is to protect her life and loved ones from her own family. Modern day science and family bonds both endanger and save her.
