This edition of the original book was published by A Beka as a book for children to use as a school resource. I read it before my daughter did and really loved it! It's the inspirational, true story of the first white missionary to trek across the larger part of central Africa and map it in detail for the civilized world. It tells of his victories, hardships and personal sacrifices as he endeavors to share the truth about his personal Hero with the native Africans. It also tells the heartbreaking story of the very beginnings the evil slave-trading industry in Africa and David Livingstone's attempts to stop it. This book should be a must read for every Christian.
