1905 - Albert Einstein's paper, "Does the Inertia of a Body Depend Upon Its Energy Content?", is published in the journal "Annalen der Physik". This paper reveals the relationship between energy and mass. This leads to the formula E = mc².

For my friends who want to know, "Yeah, but how does this increase my odds of developing teleporter technology?" I offer:

The Physics of Star Trek

You may also be interested in the First Book of C :).

Can you believe these haven't been snatched up??

What geeky book offerings are languishing on your shelf?

Star Trek has been claimed!  The First Book of C remains available (and who doesn't want to relieve the glory days of their first computer programming experiences - anyone got some Fortran?)
