An account of the activities of Lincoln, his family, his Cabinet, and of Booth and his co-conspirators on the day Lincoln was shot, and the hunt for the killer. I remembered reading the Readers Digest Books version as a child, and the narrative still holds up. This edition includes added background info regarding events of the previous few days leading up to the night of the assasination.
