Oh, the places you'll go - and the people you'll see! (sorry, Mr. Thurber!) This book shares the feeling and camaradarie (now, I think I spelled that wrong!)of the people who populated the post WWII and PRE-disco, nightclub scene in NYC. Think Fred Allen, think Walter Winchell, think Ed Sullivan, think The Bowery. A good read, especially if you miss the era when music was good - and so were the girls (at least in public)
