He will be helped by his father, a retired cop, his cameraman, also his best friend, his bartender, who keeps his ear to the ground as he pours the drinks and a homocide lieutenant who does not exactly approve or Peter's free-lance career but who'll helpo himn all he can.

First paperback printing of the well-known New York Sportswriter/ESPN commentator's mystery from 1987. I think this book is currently out of print. Also, I believe that this is the first of his fiction novels. Stars smart-mouthed, quick thinking TV reporter Peter Finley. Filled with lively characters and a few unseen turns. I really enjoyed this book. This was the first of his non-sports related fiction novels that I've read. I highly recommend it.
