Truthfully, I did not enjoy this book very much. It's basically werewolf erotica; two words that I don't like having to type together! If you like a good sex scene, then you'll probably like this book more than I did. I just don't like reading page after page of descriptive sex. I'm not prudish in my real life, but apparently I am when it comes to what I read. Who knew? It was nice to see George from the Undead series as a main character, but not as a sexual beast. It was just too weird for me! Yuck. Werewolf erotica is just not the genre for me, I guess.

Four stories of love, lust and howling laughter. Davidson's Wyndham Werewolves and the world of Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor collide. In three of the stories, the Wyndham werewolves find their perfect - sometimes reluctant- mates, whether mortal or immortal. And the original story of George the Fiend is the fourth story. Equal parts spicy heat and laugh-out-loud moments. Delightful read.

Don't read all four of the short stories in DEAD AND LOVING IT all at once. Read back-to-back, although a quick read, the stories are all extremely similar--there are even phrases in the stories that have been used, word for word, in the one that came before it.

That said, all four stories deal in some way with werewolves, specifically ones from the Wyndham clan. The stories are short, sexy, and to the point. Although I enjoyed the premise of all of them, the use of the "c" word to describe the female anatomy irked me, so much so that I had to, at times, set the book aside.

However, SANTA CLAWS, MONSTER LOVE, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A WEREWOLF, and A FIEND IN NEED are all fast-paced stories that die-hard fans of MJD will enjoy. Overall, not a bad book, although the typographical errors and the repetitive phrases (even some entire scenes appeared recycled from the previous short story) keep it from being a true winner.

As a fan of the Queen Betsy series, I couldn't wait to read this one. Boy was I disappointed! I couldn't even finish it. In my opinion, its nothing but graphic sex scenes (rape among other scenarios), (unnecessary) crude language, and little or no plot. I'm not prudish, but I really couldn't stomach this one.

I'd rather Davidson stuck to her light-hearted, witty ROMANCE stories.

Very quick, funny "monster" romances. Steamy sex scenes plus riots of laughs.

This book is ok. I have been reading the Betsy books and thought I would check out the last story about George the Fiend and Antonia, which didn't add much, but was fun. Each story is really fast and easy, though with some wacky and in some cases offensive wooing (rape? kidnapping?). But it is brain candy like the others, and not really meant to make you think.

MaryJanice Davidson is one of my favorite authors. This book is good but not as good as the books in her Queen Betsy series.

I have read most of the other books and this one filled in some missing pieces. It was fun and easy reading.

More sex and less story than the other books I've read of MJD.
