This book is the next BLOCKBUSTER "made into a movie" book...and is actually worth keeping but it's so shocking, it's a MUST-SHARE-OR-TELL-OTHERS-ABOUT-IT type of book.

It starts out slow but only because unless you're British or from England, Wales etc...the language used is at first difficult to translate into American English, and by the fourth chapter (there are 17) you're beginning to wonder if the writers crazy or you are...lol...then you wonder if you've lost your touch in being able to predict the course of a story, however this is anything but a routine story, this is a rare gem of a novel!

By the 12th chapter you've finally figured it out...or so you think.

Then without warning the entire "life" of the book as you knew it, suddenly gets turned upside down and the proverbial "rug" gets yanked out from under you leaving you stunned beyond belief and knowing this is sure to become a movie...or so we hope.

Left me opened mouth and in a mild state of shock and wishing for more....much, much more.

A stunning and well accomplished story-teller, I found it hard to believe this is the debut(first)book for the awesome writer, Camilla Way. I can't wait for a sequel or the next book from this tremendously talented writer.

I'd tell you more but I'm almost afraid I'd ruin it for you....but let me say this; If you ONLY read ONE BOOK this year...you better make it THE DEAD OF SUMMER, or you'll forever wish you had. I'd give this book TEN STARS...if that were possible.
