Myself i really enjoy true war reads. Not so much for the gorry stuff, just the life and how it really was. This book tells alot that others does not. Like what the WW2 foot soldiers felt and how they fought. What they ate and how they liked it. What life was like during the periods of no combat. There are pictures and lots of very interesting things i did not know in this read. I did really enjoy it.
