This thread is a place for you to post your deals on children's, homeschool, and teachers' books or any other books of interest to those in the education field.

Any High School English teachers in here from Missouri or Iowa?  I have two entire bookshelves full of books which I am going to be looking to get rid of at the end of this school year.  I probably have at least a car load of books at my school, and am going to try and move up to the Community College level, which means I will not longer have a classroom library. I am going to try and sell these books, but might be willing to make deal for credits, but will do pick up only (it would cost way too much to ship all of these).  I live in North Central Missouri, but might be willing to take them to Kansas City since I go there once a month anyway.  If you're interested, PM me for a partial list of books.  I'm guessing I have 10 or so paper boxes full of books...ranging from  British Literature, to Science Fiction, to General Interest (from Gary Paulsen, to Gossip Girls, to Jodi Picoult, to Stephen King).

I've been a PBS member for a few years. I absolutely love it! I haven't looked around the community, so I just found this forum. I maintain a website for teachers packed with free resources. I have a great list of picture books to go with different skills and strategies for both reading and writing. I'm working on annotating the lists and adding additional resources. It's a slow process. Come by and visit. I'm sure you will find a something you can use. www.effectiveteachingsolutions.com
