Ok, trying this again. My whole post just disappeared due to some glitch when I tried to submit it.

Anyway, I am currently running a 6 for 2 deal in the BB. I sent a PM to each of the requesters informing them of my deal. I have a requester who PM'd me that she has ordered her 2nd book and given me her choice of the 4 freebies. However, I am not showing another request by this person. I currently have only one bulk order and it isn't hers. I doubled checked the PM's on each request to make sure I wasn't missing it. Is it normal for there to be a delay between the 1st book ordered and the second book ordered off my shelf. The first request came in at 1:01 pm and as of 10:11 (the time of her PM), I have not yet received the other. I have already pulled all her books from my shelf except for her 2nd order which is not showing up anywhere. Thanks for any help with this.

Pam

I think it is likely that she has unintentionally ordered the second book via the FIFO queue, not directly from your bookshelf.

If she was looking at your shelf, then clicked on the title of a book to read more about it, then ordered from that page, then her order will have gone via the FIFO queue.

You will need to PM the person ordering from you, and have them check to see if their request is going "elsewhere". If the person they actually has requested it from has not yet printed the mailing label, the requester will able to cancel. If the label has been printed, possible she could contact the sender to see if they have not yet mailed the book, then contact PBS to cancel the transaction (if the sender cancels they then have to relist the book and go to the end of the FIFO queue, which would not be fair to them)

If you order a book from someone, there's normally a one-hour delay.  It's the built-in "buyer's remorse" time.  But if you order and then send a PM to the sender, the buyer's remorse time is canceled.  The sender gets the request right away.  If she ordered, PMd, then ordered again, the first request would come in immediately, and the second would have the 1 hr delay.

Or she could have accidentally ordered from the general membership, as Mistie said.  Best course is to send a PM and ask.
