How could a mystery taking place in and around a brewery not be interesting? After all, beer is just liquid bread and bread---the staff of life---is just solid beer. Decades ago I took a trip to Great Britain and discovered why I didn't like beer in the States. American beer had no taste to it. Thank God for the U.S. craft beer industry which corrected that!

Beer is also extremely healthy. An Italian medical study spanning decades with tens of thousands of participants showed that moderate beer drinkers had a 34% less chance of heart disease, one of today's major causes of death in the U.S. Of course, the key word here is "moderate."

There are three different, but related, mysteries in this book, each following in sequence. At least one is apparent from the start. And one was a bit of a shocker. It also proved you can't always trust people just because they are related to you. Something I learned a long time ago. But, like they say, you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your relatives.

And I'd like to share a quote from the book.

They say there's five reasons for drinking,
But more, I'm sure may be got;
For I never could find, to my thinking,
A reason why people should not.
A sixth I'll not scruple at giving,
I'll name it, while 'tis in my head;
'Tis if you don't drink while you're living,
You never will after you're dead.
