The reading was done rather well. The characters were kept distinctive with the narrator's voice. The story kept me intrigued and though a few points I wish would have been solved, were not. Perhaps in the next books they are. Still a good listen and I'm glad to see there are more out there to continue the story.

Fun, adventure and a page turner.

An enjoyable book, a real page turner that flows very nicely. The ending was tidy and completely satisfactory. Overall some predictable plot elements, but lots of unexpected turns as well.

Its a boys adventure book, but Im sure it will appeal to all ages. I never really understood the difference between a boys adventure book and a mens adventure book, they both are fast paced with linear plots. Both are often enjoyable reads, and neither spends a lot of time moralizing. Maybe the only difference is the amount of innuendo.

Allegedly aimed at age 12 and up. I think maybe suitable for a lot younger. Its straightforward with no innuendo, basically its naïve and innocent on pretty much all matters.

Several minor characters die, some at the hands of our young detective, but its neither messy nor graphic, just background.

If you love Sherlock, you will love this book.

I enjoyed it a lot
