This is where we post our wishes - maybe things we collect, something we can no longer find in our area, things we have always wanted etc. etc. No wish is too big, you never know what will turn up.  *As we get closer to the holidays, let us remember that this should not become a wish list for the whole family and friends.

We must abide by PBS rules :
You may not wish for money, or monetary donations for any charities ( you may ask for things you collect for charities, like stamps, can tabs etc., but not for money)
No buying or selling or advertising.
No wishing for credits (Credits are bought, sold and loaned only in the Book Bazaar forum, or use the PBS Kiosk to purchase)

Do NOT ask for books, since books are swapped on the site and book deals are made in the Book Bazaar. You may not ask for free books of any kind sorry. (Unpostables are given away in the damaged book thread of the Bazaar and sometimes in the RAOK thread)

Our own RAOK rules: Please
Do not offer payment for the things you are sent, including postage. RAOKs are given freely, asking nothing in return except a thank you. Try to pay it forward, maybe grant a wish yourself.

Please limit your wishes t0 nomore than 10. Lists get very long.  You can alwasys edit as you go along.
Unlike many other forums, we ask that you do NOT reply within the threads. We do everything by PM between members. This keeps the threads clutter free and easy to use. When you go to the wishes, you see wishes. In the RAOK, it's all things we are giving away - simple and easy.
And please do not post your address in the thread - it's all done via PM.
Please, if you post wishes, be prepared to check in and answer your PMs. It's frustrating when people want to grant your wishes and don't hear from you!

You do need to say THANK YOU. See our monthly *****thank you thread****, or you may acknowledge what you have received via PM to the members who granted your wishes. This is very important if you wish to continue to receive things from others.

Tips :
Check the RAOK forum before you post wishes - they may already be there for the asking!

If you see a wish you can grant, just PM the poster for their address.

And please remember, if one of the moderators contacts you about a posting, we are only trying to keep the forum running smoothly and according to PBS rules. If you are asked to change, move or delete your post, please do so. Most of you know the PBS team does get involved to edit posts and accounts do get suspended. We hate to see that happen to our fellow RAOKers!

If you have questions, feel free to contact me.

Here is my Wish List:

- Anything cross stitching related, but especially patterns (any kind of patterns as I cross-stitch for the online charity LoveQuilts and a wide variety of themes are requested to be stitched, though please, no Christmas/winter/angel patterns, I'm all set on those!); I'd especially like those 'One Nighter' pamphlets

3D puzzle or wood model or any kind of kit or model for building a model tower/building; I'd really like one of the Empire State Building but I'd be happy for anything that looks like it belongs in a modern day city; even if all the pieces aren't there or it has been used before, it doesn't matter to me, I would still be happy to have it

Small thin pins, for the purposes of pinning down completed cross stitch for framing (would also be happy for just any advice on what kind of pins and where to find them)

- Anything related to dragons: statues, posters, postcards, calendars, toys, figures, anything remotely related to dragons (honestly, I want to write a book featuring dragons and surrounding myself in dragon memorabilia is wonderful inspiration; would also welcome any other mythical creatures but mostly dragons)

- Any Halloween decorations you're looking to get rid of! I love Halloween and am looking to really build up my collection of decorations

I have wishes for costume pieces. I know they're long shots but it never hurts to ask, right? All of these would be for an adult, nothing kid-sized, thanks!

- Yellow rain coat, like the classic basic bright yellow rain coat that's iconic to the point of being a stereotype

- Yellow (or white that can be dyed yellow) jumpsuit/full bodysuit; skin tight or baggy, either way works

- Black or purple or blue witch/wizard hat, tall and pointy; it's okay if it is worn and raggedy, that's the look I'm going for

- Red or purple full length skirt

Like I said, I know it's a long shot but I figured I should just put it out there in the world :) If you have any ideas on how I can get my hands on them for cheap, I would also welcome those suggestions.

Thanks for reading my wish list! Happy December, everyone! Holiday months are here!

  • I mentor a little boy who is into football, specifically college football (he was so excited for all the games over Thanksgiving break!). His team of choice is the Oregon Ducks but anything college football, NFL, or just football-related would please him so! Banners, stickers, posters, t-shirts, etc.
  • I also mentor a first-grade girl at the same school who collects erasers so I'd love to gather some cute ones for her!
  • Looking for coupons for toothpaste, toothbrushes, and women's razors.

Happy December! :D

Thank you so much for those of you who contributed to the Angel Tree. We delivered the gifts today. Your kindness & generosity are truly appreciated. Rita.

Hello all!

I am a small business owner, and I have a Salvation Army Angel Tree in my store. Unfortunately, only about 1/3 of the angels have been taken, so I am scrambling to try to find gifts for the other children. I have two boxes of clothing, some stuffed animals, and a few random toys & school supplies so far. I did find a couple of items on the RAOK list & requested them, too. There are more wishes that are really small that I'm hoping some of you may be able to help with.

All of the kids are between the ages of 3 & 12. They have asked for journals, lip gloss, nail polish & remover, legos, action heroes, craft kits, jewelry, books, anything sports or racing, board games, Hello Kitty, Dora, Matchbox car, educational games, tub toys, school supplies, gift card, make-up, train, dump truck.

If you have anything that doesn't weigh much (ie. won't be too expensive to mail) that is in new or like new condition, I know these children would be overjoyed to have some gifts to open on Christmas. Thank you in advance for any and all help. Rita.
