I have a HB copy of a very wishlisted book. I didn't notice this until I took the DJ off and saw that the spine was wrinkled and there may be a teeny tiny tear but I can't be sure if it is or it is part of the wrinkle. I have been trying to figure out what could have caused it - possibly someone stepped on it. The book is in otherwise great condition. I wouldn't mind receiving it but I was unsure about others. I believe you can post it and when it is offered to someone, PM them and explain what the situation is. If they do not want it, you can cancel the request and they'll remain at the top. You may want to "ask the librarian" this before you try it....boNk |

how big is the tear? if it is less than 1/4" I'd post it. I wouldn't get into a PM with the requestor unless you put in the PM when to respond by and if they don't respond you will send it any way. and make sure you pick the furthest out mail by date. |

the tear is so teeny that I can't even tell for sure that it is a tear. |

I'd post it. |

I'd post it and I wouldn't PM about it. If the book is postable, no PM is needed. If it's not postable, it shouldn't be on a bookshelf. And I don't think it matters if it's a wish listed book or not. There is not a seperate standard for wish list books. Your book certainly sounds postable to me. |

If it's just a cosmetic thing then I wouldn't worry about it because a tear is postable as l long as it's not over an inch. Just make sure that the damage isn't going through the book causing it to seperate from the binding. What you describe sounds cosmetic and perfectly postable to me. Especially since you have the dust jacket. |
